On Saturday the boys had their first dilly bar from Dairy Queen. It seems strange that Lucian is almost three now and hasn't had one but don't feel too bad for him. He's had plenty of other DQ treats.I was a little surprised that Lucian was slow and tentative and he didn't eat much. All he would say over and over again, "This is deeelicious!" Warren on the other hand was virtually silent and busy, mowing down almost the entire thing. He had to be slowed down or he would have gotten a bad ice cream headache.
It brings back the good ole' days to see them eat them. I couldn't help but think of my summers as a kid and going to DQ for my dilly bar treat. Sigh...

Woah, how in the heck did you get orange and red dilly bars? No fair! All we have is the chocolate ones around here.
But it sure does look like he enjoyed them!
Sadly, my closest DQ is 30 minutes away and I also have never had a dilly bar...never heard of them until now actually. It looks like I need to try one next time instead of going with the Cookie Dough Blizzard I always get.

I was going to say where did you get those we only have ever seen chocolate ones, I wish we had a DQ I swear they have the best icea cream! Yummy , hope you have a great day !

Never had a Dilly Bar but I love the Peanut Buster Parfait from DQ.

That settles it: I'm getting DQ after church tonight.
Cute! My oldest didn't even like ice cream until he was about 4. My 2yo seems to be following the same pattern so far. I joke with my DH all the time that the youngest isn't "my kid" because I LOVE ice cream.
