Happy Easter! Munch Munch, Peter Rabbit Book Giveaway

Do you have anything fun planned for Easter? My favorite part of our Easter tradition is the Easter Egg Hunt at my mother's house. I can't wait to see Lucian really hunting for eggs. Last year he was only 19 months and not really old enough to fully understand. This year should be a blast. He loves looking for things and I know he will certainly enjoy all the goodies inside the plastic eggs and in his Easter basket. I also think Warren, while a little young to fully grasp the concept, will love to pick up eggs and put them in a basket. Filling buckets/baskets/jars (you name it) and emptying them is a favorite activity of his.

I wanted to have an Easter giveaway to say Happy Easter!!! Given the popularity of my previous giveaway for Skippyjon Jones Shape Up, I decided to choose another book, this time with an Easter theme. Munch Munch, Peter Rabbit (Peter Rabbit Seedlings) by Beatrix Potter is a colorful larger sized board book. According to Amazon, Munch, munch, crunch, crunch. Where’s Peter Rabbit? That’s what all of his friends want to know in this Seedlings™ lift-the-flap board book. Is he nibbling on some lettuce behind the garden gate? Is that him crunching a carrot behind Mr. MacGregor’s old boot? With extra large flaps and big, bold art, this latest Seedlings™ book is a perfect snack-time companion.

Win it:
Tell me your favorite Easter tradition.

I come from a very small family so we didn't really have Easter traditions. We went to church every Easter Sunday and, until she passed away, my grandmother would come visit every other year, spending the "off" year with my cousins in Virginia.

One of our family traditions is making an Egg Tree outside. We will go hiking to find a large branch that has fallen during the winter. Then we will take it home and set it up on the porch. Next is decorating it with crafts, decorated blown-out eggs, plastic eggs, etc.

My favorite Easter tradition that I remember is where my Grandparents always gave us a stuffed rabbit, then we we got older they started giving us ceramic ones. For the past two years my Grandmother has been in either a nursing home or assisted living and does't get around to it anymore. I always thought the ceramic rabbits were lame until I stopped receiving them, now I miss them.

My favorite Easter tradition is hiding candy filled eggs for the kids and having them search for them before dinner. It gets everyone outside and the house can cool off from the cooking that has taken place.

After dinner, I do an Easter craft (color blown out eggs), create wreaths for the door, etc. The children and Moms like crafting and it's a nice way to unwind at the end of the day. Plus everyone likes going home with a little something.
