Temporary Language Translation Tees Review and Giveaway

If you read my post from two days ago you would have seen some cute video of Lucian last summer showing his fascination and excitement over bubbles. (If you haven't watched the short video you are missing out.) His cute little voice combined with his slight mispronunciation was so memorable. When I saw Temporary Language's adorable translation tees featured on cool mom picks I knew I had to get one for Lucian's 2nd birthday.

If you haven't seen them yet you are in for a surprise. They are like a snapshot in time, a very special keepsake that is unique and tailored to the personality of your child. You pick your child's cutest or funniest mispronounced word and choose an image from Temporary Language's gallery that goes with it. Don't see what you are looking for? You can have a custom image created at no additional charge. We went through that process last year since bubbles wasn't an option. It went very smooth and they really worked to get us the look we wanted in a timely manner.

When I received the shirt I couldn't have been more pleased. The quality of the shirt itself is fantastic but even better is knowing I would keep that shirt forever. I will certainly get another one for Warren next year and I can't wait (or maybe I can) until it becomes obvious which special word or saying should be translated for him. The hardest part for you may be narrowing down which adorable word to use. For Lucian we did consider "bapes" translation: grapes and "A 'Na!" translation: banana.

Bill Shore, president and founder of Temporary Language, got the idea of translations tees from his own son. According to Bill, "One day when I watched my then one year-old son walk past me down the hallway, carrying his blanket and talking to himself. Apparently he had a lot of things on his mind, and I remember him casually dropping his book, dragging that blanket and saying, "BROCKY"—weird, I know, but the kid actually likes broccoli!

Here was this tiny little person blowing past his daddy, tossing his possessions around the house and talking out loud: "BOBBLE", "MUK", "BAPPY", "MOMMY", "BONK!" Somehow, I translated this to mean, "Hey Mom!, get me a bottle of milk, then I'd like my pacifier—OUCH!, I just fell!" I realized then that he had let me connect with his world, and I felt I needed to take a snapshot of that moment."

I bet you'd love to have a translation tee for your little one. Are you feeling lucky? Bill has agreed to give one of you your very own personalized translation tee. He only asks that you help him come up with new images for his gallery.

Even if you don't win you can get 15% off for their apring sale by entering TEE15 at checkout (expires 5/1/09)

Win it:

Tell me your own little one's cute, mispronounced word. (How easy is that?)
